Essay Writing Help

The University Library has lots of help available for students who want to improve on their essay writing skills.  They have resources on their web page but you can also pay them a visit and book a one-to-one session where one of the team can give you advice and feedback regarding your work.  Below some of these help sheets are also available for download on the Library web page:

If you are struggling to find a book or journal to back up your writing you can search the Library Catalogue, My Module Resources (also on SunSpace) or Discover.  Remember if your search is not finding the texts you require, try and change the words you are using for example, 'performance technique' could also be 'performance strategy,' 'performance anxiety,' 'live performance,' 'stage presence,' and many others.

Students that send their work to their tutors in advance of the hand-in date, receive feedback and make amendments usually improve their mark and their chances of successful progression through their degree.  Your module tutors are there to help you along with the library staff so do not hesitate to seek advice and guidance as it is provided for every student.
